One of the key aims of the school has always been to teach students that education is much more than passing examinations. To this end, opportunities are offered to students at every level to extend and challenge themselves above and beyond the curriculum. A large number of clubs and societies exist, and every year these change and grow, reflecting the particular interests of the students. The whole school also works hard to raise money for a wide range of local and national charities.
