School Year, Day and Classrooms

The School Year The school year runs from approximately Mid September to Mid June. Exact dates for the start and finish of each school year and school holidays are published in the school calendar at the beginning of every school year. Please refer to the calendar for future school holidays throughout the school year. Please note that some holiday dates in the calendar are provisional and subject to later confirmation.
The School Day The school is open five days a week (Sunday to Thursday) and closed on Fridays and Saturdays. The school day for pupils starts at 08:30 and finishes at 15:00, with the exception of Tuesdays, where pupils stay until 16:00 for their extra curricular activities. All pupils not using the school buses must be collected from school no later than 30 minutes after the end of the school day.
Classrooms All classrooms are fully equipped and air-conditioned. The classroom atmosphere is relaxed and informal yet disciplined and there are no more than 20 pupils in any classroom. In the Lower & Junior schools, dedicated class teachers are assisted by full time bi-lingual teacher aides.
